Creativity with a conscience
I believe that decorating doesn't have to mean buying everything new, in fact I find that a home has more integrity and character when it is decorated using a combination of used and new pieces.When decorating a space, I often re-use furniture and accessories a client already has by refurbishing and updating them if needed. My local thrift stores are a great source of inspiration and amazing finds. Every week on my BLOG you can see this process. As for new pieces, I buy eco-friendly products when I can and things that hopefully didn't journey half-way around the world. I also buy locally made and designed pieces when I can because I believe in supporting local talent and in Montreal we have so much of it!Why design this way? Its a great way to achieve a unique space that is like no other and most importantly, because it's environmentally friendly, thoughtful and not to mention cost effective!

Bio Montreal is the creative and energetic city I call home. It is here I was born and raised and where I run my interior design business.My love for the world of art and design began as a child. I was eager to help my parents with home renovation projects like wallpapering, painting and refinishing furniture. I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. I have never had a job outside of art and design, not even as a teenager. When most of my friends worked at clothing stores or restaurants, I was taking commissions for paintings, drawings or custom painted furniture. I was enrolled in after school art classes since I was a child. I couldn't wait to do this exclusively and I got my chance in the illustration and design program at Dawson College.At 19, I already had one foot in school and one in the design world. I started working as a graphic artist for my father's company in the construction industry, developing their corporate identity, packaging, advertising and promotion. When I graduated, I started working as an artist's assistant and designed mass-produced artwork for a framing company. After a few years I moved on to a graphic design job with a weekly newspaper in their advertising and design department. Next I went on to work in package design for a toy company where I became quite a proficient photoshop artist. Although working in children's toys is a dream job for many, it wasn't what I longed for. I wanted to work in an industry that I lived and breathed.....decorating. Textile design and home decor product design was my introduction into this industry. It allowed me to learn the art of creating repeat patterns and all of the details required for product design. After four years of working in the decorating industry, it was time for a change.After 12 years of being employed as a designer / illustrator / graphic artist for various companies, I felt very restless both mentally and physically in my career. Never having been able to reach my full potential as an employee, I decided to start up my own decorating business and become an entrepreneur.
